On the 12th of November, 2017 at approximately 19:16 hours members of the Putnam Police Department, in response to ongoing reports of the sale of narcotics, encountered Anthony Falzone (DOB 08/17/1992) and Giuseppe Falzone (DOB 03/22/1961) who have no listed address however reside in the Special Services District in Putnam in the area of Front Street and Livery Street. The Falzone’s went to a pre-determined area with the intention of the sale of heroin. Both subjects were detained by a Putnam Police Officer and questioned. While detained, Anthony Falzone revealed that he established the meeting point and offered a sale of heroin with the intent for he and Giuseppe Falzone to arrive, take the money from their intended victim and flee the area. During their period of detention it was also revealed that Anthony Falzone had an active arrest warrant for Failure to Appear in the 2nd degree for previous narcotics related charges. A search incident to arrest revealed that Anthony had various articles of drug paraphernalia including but not limited to multiple syringes, two of which were pre-loaded with a suspected narcotic. Giuseppe was found to be in possession of multiple articles of drug paraphernalia as well as suspected cocaine. The Falzone’s were processed and will be presented for arraignment in the Danielson Superior Court on the 13th of November, 2017 at 0900 hours. Giuseppe was held on $1,000.00 cash/surety bond. Anthony was held on $5,000.00 court set bond for his FTA charge and $1,000.00 for the charges he incurred this date. Both Anthony and Giuseppe Falzone were charged with Conspiracy to commit robbery 3rd, criminal attempt to commit sale of narcotics, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia. The Putnam Police Department is dedicated to pursuing and investigating the illicit sale of narcotics within the Special Services District and strives to keep Putnam a Safe and Friendly Community.
